Manifest is the latest Television receiver series to get canceled without enough time for the folks behind the scenes to end the story appropriately. But while many shows just go abroad (RIP Glow, Proficient Girls and many more), this series may actually live to finish its narrative some other solar day.

Or at least that's the word of Jeff Rake, Manifest's creator. Rake has long spoken about why the series needed to terminal longer than it actually did, equally he told the Television Critics Association (TCA) in 2020 that he "pitched information technology, as someone who didn't have a previous serialized show before, with a roadmap and clear chapters along the manner," and that "the prove wants to exist six seasons." Unfortunately, NBC simply let information technology run for three.

  • Everything we know most The Witcher season 2

Earlier this week, Rake tweeted out back up for the fans of the show, stating "Manifesters! Your support is awe-inspiring. We're trying to find a mode to conclude the series. Could have a calendar week, a month, a year. Only we're non giving upwardly. Y'all deserve an stop to the story. Keep the conversation live. If it works out, information technology's considering of YOU."

And parsing that linguistic communication shows some good and bad news for the Manifesters in question. The adept news is that Rake & co. clearly don't programme to let this show die.

The bad news, though? Well, aught's for sure even so, every bit it doesn't seem like Rake has any large plan. Note that he said "We're trying" and "If it works out,"

That tweet went live six days after a Deadline report claimed that Netflix passed on the opportunity to lodge the fourth Manifest season. This reportedly led Warner Bros. Television to stop looking for a new home for the bear witness.

Why would they end? Supposedly the complicated world of digital rights and cast options would be difficult to get through if Warner looked for a new dwelling house.

So, what is Rake going to exercise? Netflix withal seems like the best option; 1 wonders if they could pitch Netflix on a film that concludes the story, and not the three seasons that the series supposedly needs to tell its story.

In fact, a movie is on the table. As Rake told Twitter Spaces...

"I'm going to agree out promise that maybe somebody will pace up and help us terminate that story – whether that means more episodes, whether that means a final kind of moving picture like they did with the showFirefly, or a lot of people accept asked me 'write the book' and you know, that'south a cool concept only [it's a major try] and I'm going to retrieve about it."

Maybe at that place's some avenue we don't come across clearly from backside our monitors. In whatsoever example, the #SaveManifest hashtag will probable be used by the Manifesters looking to bring the series back.

Manifest is a mystery-box format series with a lot in mutual with Lost. But instead of focusing on the crashed plane, information technology told the story of a set of airplane passengers and crew who reappear afterward the plane mysteriously disappeared and the globe presumed them expressionless.
